Como have identified PSV Eindhoven utility Mauro Junior as a summer target, joining Porto and Real Betis in pursuing a player whose release clause is understood to be exercisable at a modest fee.

Tuttomercatoweb first reported Como's interest, with the Lombard club understood to be assessing the feasibility of a deal for the 26-year-old Brazilian, who is capable of playing at left-back, right-back and as a central midfielder.

Mauro Junior has spent the majority of his career at PSV following his arrival from Palmeiras and has established himself as one of the Eredivisie club's most dependable squad players — valued precisely for the positional flexibility that also makes him attractive to clubs managing wide squads with European competition.

The release clause in his PSV contract makes the financial calculation straightforward for interested clubs, though the precise figure has not been disclosed. PSV, aware of the interest, are reported to be preparing a contract extension offer in an attempt to retain a player they are reluctant to lose.

Como head coach Cesc Fàbregas has built an impressive profile in the transfer market since the club's Serie A promotion, consistently targeting intelligent profiles that fit a high-energy positional system. Mauro Junior's versatility fits that template.

Formal negotiations have not yet begun. The coming weeks will determine whether Como escalate their interest into a genuine approach.
