Christian Pulisic has offered a positive indication over his AC Milan future, saying he is happy at San Siro and that renewal talks will take place soon.

Pulisic addressed the uncertainty surrounding his contract at a Milan event, with his comments coming after months of speculation over whether he would extend his stay at San Siro.

“I’m happy at Milan, it’s giving me everything. Renewal? We’ll talk about it soon,” Pulisic said.

The 28-year-old remains under contract with Milan until 2027, with the club also holding an option to extend the agreement by another season. Negotiations had previously stalled, but Pulisic’s latest comments indicate that discussions remain open.

The American has had to manage a difficult start to the campaign after recovering from injury. He returned against Lazio in September, providing an assist, before scoring his first competitive goal of 2026 in the 3-0 victory over Lecce.

Pulisic has subsequently spoken positively about working under Rúben Amorim, who replaced Massimiliano Allegri as Milan coach. The attacker has been used in a variety of attacking positions and remains part of the manager’s plans.

“I’m very happy at Milan, both now and looking to the future. Honestly, at this moment I’m not thinking about the renewal, but I want to continue here. Are we talking about it? Yes,” he told Gazzetta dello Sport.

That position represents a change from earlier in the year, when reports suggested Milan had paused negotiations while assessing Pulisic’s form and fitness.

The American has also attracted interest from clubs outside Italy, but his latest comments point towards a desire to remain in Milan.

The contract situation is particularly relevant because Pulisic’s current deal still has time to run. Milan had previously taken a cautious approach while assessing his fitness and form, but his return to action has provided the club with a reminder of his attacking importance.

The American has also made clear that his relationship with Amorim is positive, removing any suggestion that the coaching change is influencing his thinking over the coming months.

For AC Milan, the next step will be agreeing the terms of a longer commitment. For Pulisic, the latest message points towards San Siro remaining his preferred home.
