Scott, 23, made his senior England debut in Wednesday’s 2-0 Nations League victory over Czechia, further increasing the attention surrounding a player whose contract will enter its final 18 months in January.
Bournemouth have already rejected two attempts to extend Scott’s contract. The midfielder was also keen to leave the Vitality Stadium during the summer transfer window, but the Cherries ultimately kept hold of him.
Their position has since remained firm.
Bournemouth have warned interested clubs that they will not welcome contact over Scott during January while their own competitive objectives remain unresolved. That means a move would only be considered once those objectives have either been achieved or are no longer attainable.
The same stance applies to other important members of Andoni Iraola’s squad, including striker Eli Junior Kroupi and winger Rayan.
Bournemouth are competing on four fronts this season, with the club also embarking on the first European campaign in its history in the Europa League. The club therefore have little appetite for weakening their squad midway through the season.
Scott has continued to perform strongly on the south coast and has shown no public signs of frustration despite the failed summer move.
His longer-term ambition, however, is understood to be a transfer to one of England’s biggest clubs.
Chelsea, Arsenal and Liverpool are among those known to have monitored the midfielder. Chelsea remain particularly interested after having a £64 million bid for Scott rejected during the summer.
The London club subsequently missed out on Monaco midfielder Lamine Camara on deadline day, while also holding discussions over Roma’s Manu Koné and expressing an interest in Fulham’s Sander Berge.
Liverpool are also expected to maintain their interest. Manager Andoni Iraola has a positive relationship with Scott from their time together at Bournemouth, while the Anfield club are known to be looking at midfield options for future windows.
Liverpool also retain an interest in Camara.
Manchester City and Manchester United, meanwhile, are not currently expected to revive their interest after both clubs strengthened their midfield options during the summer.
For January, however, the message from Bournemouth is clear: interest in Scott is not expected to translate into a willingness to negotiate.
