Sky Germany journalist Florian Plettenberg confirmed that Brown and Bayern Munich have reached a full verbal agreement.
The 22-year-old defender, who is currently preparing for the World Cup with Germany, has reportedly agreed to a long-term contract running until 2031. He has declined to comment publicly on the reports, telling media: "My focus is only on the World Cup."
The fee remains the outstanding issue. Eintracht Frankfurt sporting director Markus Krösche is holding firm at €60 million, while Bayern are working to agree a lower figure. The gap between the clubs is not large, but it is enough to require continued negotiation.
Brown joined Frankfurt from FC Nürnberg for €3 million two years ago and has developed at remarkable speed. He was voted Frankfurt's Player of the Season for 2025-26, starred in their Champions League campaign, and earned a place in Germany's World Cup squad under Julian Nagelsmann.
His performance in a pre-tournament friendly against Finland drew particular praise and is seen as a factor in pushing any final deal higher.
Arsenal, Real Madrid and Manchester City have all been linked with Brown, giving Frankfurt leverage and giving Brown options if Bayern are ultimately unable or unwilling to meet the price. But Sport Bild reports that Brown's own preference is unambiguous — he wants to join Bayern and head coach Vincent Kompany, and has no interest in alternative destinations this summer.
For Bayern to sanction the spend, at least one significant departure is required. That is where Davies enters the picture.
According to Sport Bild, representatives of Saudi Arabian clubs have already visited Bayern's Säbener Straße training complex to discuss the terms of a possible transfer for the Canada international.
Davies, 25, signed a contract extension in February 2025 that runs until 2030, but a combination of recurring injuries — including a serious knee problem in spring 2025 — and the imminent arrival of Brown have made his long-term place at the club increasingly uncertain.
Bayern would not obstruct a sale at the right price. Davies himself is less likely to be enthusiastic about a Saudi move at 25. How that tension resolves will shape whether the Brown deal completes before pre-season.
