Among those whose futures are under discussion are Marc Casadó, Roony Bardghji, Jules Koundé, Marc-André ter Stegen and Ronald Araujo.
In Casadó's case, Barcelona are sticking to the roadmap set out at the start of the summer, with not even Frenkie de Jong's injury prompting a rethink from the club's hierarchy. The view internally is that selling the midfielder would bring in a significant fee while easing the squad's depth in a position with plenty of competition.
Casadó continues training under Hansi Flick in the meantime, with several offers on the table but none close to being finalised. Al Hilal have been pushing for weeks to sign him, though the academy graduate wants to weigh up all his options carefully before making a final decision.
Roony's situation is similar, with his long-term future also expected to lie away from the club, though it remains unclear whether any exit would take the form of a loan or a permanent transfer. The Swedish winger began pre-season last week and continues working under Flick while the situation is resolved.
The most advanced departure is that of Ter Stegen. An agreement between Ajax and the goalkeeper has been in place for weeks, though several bureaucratic and contractual details between the German and Barcelona remain to be settled. Those loose ends have delayed a move that, in principle, should already have been finalised. With Joan Laporta and Deco - both away at the World Cup - now back, the intention is to accelerate talks and get the deal over the line as soon as possible.
Koundé and Araujo present a very different picture to the other three cases. Despite being under transfer-market scrutiny, neither defender has any intention of leaving Barcelona this summer. Koundé made his position clear last Saturday after France's World Cup exit, saying his priority was to enjoy a short rest before returning to pre-season training in the best possible condition.
Araujo, meanwhile, returned to training on Monday, though he is currently working alongside the group rather than fully integrated, due to the physical issues that prevented him from playing minutes at the World Cup. The Uruguayan has one clear goal for next season: to reclaim his starting spot and re-establish himself as one of the leaders of Barcelona's defence.
