"I feel like I have played. It was a really good evening, it's important that you enjoy evenings like this because you work so hard and there are so many tough days in this game, and when you play against a west London rival, and you build up to a game and you go on a bit of a journey with the team, there are always bumps along the way, but we were in a really good place and it's nice to see it come into fruition tonight," Andrews said.
Fabio Carvalho was among the scorers, continuing his run of finding the net in consecutive games since returning from injury. Andrews praised his response to a difficult spell out.
"The worst part of being a footballer is when you're injured and he's been unbelievable in his approach to it, in his professionalism, and he's come back really seamlessly into the fold.
"He looks really sharp, really strong. To get that important goal tonight was nice for him and really special," he said.
Andrews also highlighted the variety in his side's goals, one arriving from a set piece.
"I think with the way we play that we are unpredictable, and we can score and play in different ways. When we are in control of games, in possession we can look to create and cause chaos for the opposition, but even from defending deep from certain situations we have serious counter attacking threat so I like a lot of what we do," he said.
Andrews added that Brentford had made life difficult for Chelsea's Igor Thiago.
"I thought Chelsea set up in a really respectful way. They paid a lot of attention to our strengths."
For Chelsea, Xabi Alonso was left to reflect on a chastening evening.
"Disappointed with the second half, disappointed with the result. This is not how to compete in the Premier League. We were punished," Alonso told Sky Sports.
"At the moment we are not being consistent enough to compete during the whole game, 45 is not enough, you need to compete for the whole game. Each action can be decisive. After they score, there is still a lot of game to play but we lost that control and once you concede the second it was very difficult."
Alonso admitted his side's vulnerability from set pieces needed urgent attention.
"We share all the responsibility. We need to assess, analyse and improve for the future. This is about scoring and not conceding. Today it did not go our way," he said, while confirming João Pedro's absence through injury had not been used as an excuse.
"It is not about talking or looking for excuses, we need to look at each other and how to improve."
Chelsea will have most of the international break to work on their issues, though not with a full squad.
"We will have enough time but not all the players so we will work halfway, somehow," Alonso said.
