Frosinone claimed a 2-0 victory over Torino as second-half goals from Farès Ghedjemis and Giacomo Calò secured another important result for Massimiliano Alvini's improving side.

After a relatively balanced first half, the hosts took control following the interval. Ghedjemis broke the deadlock two minutes into the second period, before Calò added a second in stoppage time to complete a convincing performance.

Alvini described it as the best of his team's six victories, praising their tactical discipline and ability to remain composed against a strong opponent.

"It was a match of great substance, an extraordinary performance from the team in terms of what they put on the pitch. In terms of our ideas and how they adapted, it was the best victory of the six. We conceded very little against Torino, who are a great team."

The Frosinone coach was particularly pleased with how his players responded to the demands of the contest.

"Well done to the lads for not getting nervous when that could have happened. It was a great match in a humid, battling atmosphere. Today we saw a proper football match, and credit goes to the team."

He also praised their growing maturity, pointing to the way they have dealt with consecutive fixtures.

"More than an exam of maturity, I would say that a team gradually follows a path and becomes more mature. Today the strategy, the tactics, the idea and the application were right."

Frosinone had beaten Lecce on Thursday before overcoming Torino, and Alvini was keen to keep expectations grounded.

"We won on Thursday against Lecce and today against Torino. The players deserve credit, and I am sure they will enjoy the victory without getting carried away."

Torino coach Ignazio Abate felt his team had performed well before half-time but acknowledged that the second period was a different story.

"I don't agree that it was a poor performance overall. I saw a good Torino in the first half, when we caused Frosinone problems. In the second half, I agree that we didn't do well. We played on momentum without balance, and Frosinone are excellent in transition."

Abate insisted the result was not simply a question of fitness or attitude.

"It is not about physical condition, otherwise we would just be looking for excuses. We had a strong team in front of us. I cannot criticise the spirit or the attitude of the players."

He believed Torino should have managed the game more carefully after conceding.

"After the goal we saw a different match. We followed the momentum too much in trying to recover it. We should have waited 10 or 15 minutes, restored our balance and then started again."
