Mbappé, 27, has scored 86 goals and contributed 12 assists in 103 competitive appearances since joining Real Madrid on a free transfer from Paris Saint-Germain in the summer of 2024 — a return that would represent a successful contribution at virtually any other club.
But with Madrid failing to win La Liga or the Champions League in either of those seasons, and with persistent reports of dressing-room tension surrounding the France forward, questions about his long-term suitability have resurfaced.
Pérez was unequivocal when asked by BeIN Sports.
"Kylian Mbappé is one of the best players in the world and he is not going to leave."
He dismissed the doubters with a pointed reference to the numbers.
"You just need to look at his statistics to see the magnitude of our player. No one should doubt such an extraordinary player."
Mbappé is contracted at the Bernabéu until the summer of 2029. The election between Pérez and challenger Enrique Riquelme takes place on Sunday, with Pérez the strong favourite. A new head coach — confirmed to be José Mourinho — is expected to be formally announced in the days immediately following the vote.
