Real Madrid's dressing room is in open disarray as the season enters its final weeks, with Dani Ceballos demanding no further contact with coach Álvaro Arbeloa and Antonio Rüdiger involved in a heated altercation with a teammate at the training ground.

AS reported on Friday that Ceballos had confronted Arbeloa in his office at Valdebebas after being left out of the squad for the match against Real Betis.

According to Marca's detailed account, the 29-year-old entered the coach's office and told Arbeloa directly that he no longer wished to have any kind of relationship with him. He then returned to the dressing room and informed his teammates of the conversation, suggesting to them that he believed the issue with the coach was personal and that he did not expect to be selected again before the end of the season.

Ceballos is expected to leave the club in the summer, with a return to Real Betis his preferred destination for both personal and sporting reasons. Real Madrid are understood to support his departure and will look to free up his salary space accordingly.

ESPN also reported that Arbeloa has been in conflict with a number of other squad members this season, including captain Dani Carvajal and defender Raúl Asencio, both of whom have seen their playing time sharply reduced in recent months.

The most explosive internal incident of the season, according to ESPN, involved Rüdiger. The German centre-back, who is 33 and out of contract at the end of the campaign, reportedly lost his composure during a training session and provoked a confrontation with a teammate that witnesses described as a heated scene.

Sources cited by the outlet downplayed the severity, describing it as consistent with Rüdiger's competitive character rather than evidence of a deeper structural problem. The German has previously attracted attention for his behaviour on the pitch, including during the Champions League quarter-final exit to Bayern Munich when his opponent Josip Stanišić publicly challenged him over remarks made during the match.

Real Madrid are set to offer Rüdiger a contract extension despite the incidents. Whether Arbeloa himself survives the summer in charge is a separate question, with the club facing a managerial decision that will define the direction of a rebuild requiring significant investment.
