The 29-year-old midfielder became available after his contract at Tottenham Hotspur expired this summer, ending a four-year spell in north London that brought 111 appearances and a Europa League winner's medal in 2025.
Fulham manager Alvaro Arbeloa is looking to strengthen a number of positions ahead of the new season and has opted to take a closer look at the Mali international, though there is currently no firm plan to offer him a contract.
Bissouma made his name during four seasons at Brighton & Hove Albion before Spurs paid ยฃ30m to sign him in 2022, and he went on to make 202 Premier League appearances in total across his two clubs. His athleticism and ball-winning ability made him a regular fixture when fit, and he delivered some of his best form in a Spurs shirt in the run to Europa League glory, starring in both legs of the semi-final against Bodo/Glimt before playing the full 90 minutes of the final against Manchester United.
His final season in England proved considerably more turbulent, with the midfielder suspended by then-manager Ange Postecoglou during the 2024-25 campaign after footage emerged of him inhaling laughing gas, an episode that damaged his standing at the club. Persistent fitness problems also restricted his involvement, and Tottenham ultimately opted against extending his stay once his contract ran down.
A host of clubs have been credited with interest in the free agent, including Brentford, Crystal Palace and a possible return to Brighton, and Bissouma is understood to favour staying in the Premier League despite attention from clubs overseas.
Signing him without a transfer fee would represent low-risk business for any suitor prepared to manage the fitness and disciplinary questions that have followed him in recent times, with Fulham among those assessing whether his experience could offer an immediate lift to their midfield options this summer.
